Learn all about us

Having worked in the high-tech B2B world since 2005 has given me a certain perspective on what works and does not work in this marketing game. Moving from the old game of personal face to face sales into new platforms that enable you to reach millions of prospects across continents and time zones, has forced a rethink of how to approach life and customers.
The road has not been easy and many mistakes have been made on the way, many new technologies were adopted and abandoned and hundreds of hours devoted to studying the best new practices to ensure that our message could be spread across cultures.
The result was a business that grew at a tremendous pace, passing the 100,000,000 a year turnover in 2015. But, it was not my business. If you want to have steady work, get a boss, if you want to find happiness and freedom, work for yourself.
So, the lessons learned were distilled and refined some more to the point where this website has been launched, along with our partner website – Straight Fire Money
– where we talk about all of the financial tips and tricks we have learnt over the years. We also help out other websites such as cooking sites to grow as the knowledge we have gained can be used anywhere.
This website though is dedicated to witnessing the journey required by a website in the YMYL (your money your life), the content a snapshot of all the tips and tricks learnt over the years, taking each hard-earned lesson and distilling the essence of what worked and developing a step-by-step program to assist beginners and pros alike to amplify their message on the internet.
The same tricks that we have learnt from blogs, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, podcasts, groups and forums or just plain and simple conferences are laid out for all to see and pick apart – yes, there will be critics, after all, success in this field is more about showing up and having an opinion than anything else. These tricks, or answers to age-old questions such as “how to I rank number one on Google” are ever changing and require us to keep searching for new experts and new approaches, evaluating each effort to ensure success.
The simple tricks learnt over the years work and our success has led several colleagues to start their own successful side gigs, soon to become main gigs. Straight Fire Life was born from these efforts, from not only the lessons learnt but also from the lessons taught for, it is only in teaching that mastery is achieved.
We are not simple hoarders of information or teachers for that matter. Our portfolio of sites is there for all to see, to learn how each niche type works and becomes successful – from the simple print-on-demand, to the highly competitive SEO niche.
The Zen of online presence?
We are by no means experts. In fact, we rely on your feedback to hone our skills and become better at this game. Ultimately, our goal and those of our friends is to become the best possible teachers and authorities in our respective field.
We are pretty blunt, happy to call each other out. The collaborative approach we have selected is better, in our minds, than the sugar-coated approach that is endemic these days. Yes, being blunt can hurt, but by embracing each other, we can be more supportive. We would rather ruffle some feathers and save everyone time and money than spend countless hours re-hashing the same “pay as you play” processes that we have come across in the past.
Success can be measured the day when this site is self-sustaining. One of us gets to quit their job and pursue this career full-time. In the meantime, we will celebrate the smaller victories, our fist pizza-day, our first beer-day and of course our fist boating day. But these milestones must be achieved with a sustainable approach that does not impact our integrity – after all, what we do these days ins indelibly etched into the cloud, a reminder for all eternity that, we too were once human and breathed the air of this planet.
Why do we believe in ourselves?
First off, we are learner, then teachers. Money is nice, but it is not our sole driver and as such, we only advertise the products and brands that we actually use.
Our aim is to start with a minimal budget, sacrificing time and effort to achieve our goals. These days cash is scarce and every penny counts – so we invest in a good host and a good domain name and everything else is borrowed (sadly, even this theme). As time goes by and income comes streaming in, extra courses will be explored, better graphics and of course sharper layouts.
We love to see each other succeed and every site that is successfully launched as a result of our efforts is a massive boost! Your success is our legacy after all. So take a gander at our own take on how to launch a successful site in 12-36 months (timeline does depend on niche and actual effort) and let us know where we can help you the most!
